5G Launch
Bermuda’s first 5G mobile network, launched November 2023, promises to revolutionize the mobile service experience in Bermuda, with internet access speeds up to 10x faster than the current 4G capabilities.
The first phase of ultra-fast 5G performance begins in Hamilton, and up to 75% of Island coverage is 5G ready. 5G performance will continue to expand throughout the Island in a phased approach based on capacity and traffic requirements.
Compatible Devices
5G services are accessible to Postpaid customers with iPhone models 12 and newer and the Samsung devices listed below.

Activate 5G on Your Device
iPhone
Settings > Mobile Service > Mobile Data Options > Choose 5G Auto (Please ensure VoLTE is also switched on)
Samsung
Check for Software Upgrade – Settings > Software Update > Download and Install
Settings > Connections > Mobile Network > Network Mode > Choose 5G/LTE/3G/2G (Please ensure VoLTE is also switched on)
