Smartphone Setting Instructions
APN (Access Point Name)
The APN is the gateway between your smartphone and the internet. If the APN setting is incorrect or not entered into your phone, you will not be able to connect to the internet.
- iPhone
1. Tap Settings and choose Cellular
2. Tap Cellular Data or Cellular Data Options and choose Cellular Network
3. Tap APN. You should see One web.c1.bm.
If you don’t see this, tap Add. Under Name, enter One. Under APN, enter web.c1.bm - Android
1. Tap Settings and choose Connections
2. Tap Mobile Networks
3. Tap Access Point Name. You should see One web.c1.bm.
If you don’t see this, tap Add. Under Name, enter One. Under APN, enter web.c1.bm
WiFi Settings
- iPhone:
1. Tap Settings and choose WiFi
2. Turn WiFi on. The phone will search for available networks.
3. Tap the network you want to connect to and enter the WiFi password if needed - Android:
1. Tap Settings and choose Connections
2. Turn WiFi ON and tap to see available networks
3. Tap the network you want to connect to and enter the WiFi password if needed
WiFi Assist or Smart Network Assist
When turned ON, WiFi Assist or Smart Network Assist will automatically connect your phone to a network when the WiFi signal is weak or not available.
- iPhone:
1. Tap Settings and choose Cellular
2. WiFi Assist->Turn OFF if you don’t want to automatically connect to the network when your WiFi signal is weak or not available. - Android:
1. Tap Settings and choose Connections
2.Under WiFi-choose Advanced->Switch to mobile data->Turn OFF if you don’t want to automatically connect to the network when your WiFi signal is weak or not available.
Flight or Airplane Mode
When Flight or Airplane Mode is turned ON, you will lose your connection to the network.
- iPhone:
1. Tap Settings and choose Airplane Mode
2. Turn ON or OFF
Once you turn Flight Mode ON, you will lose your connection to the network. - Android:
1. Tap Settings then turn Flight Mode ON or OFF
Once you turn Flight Mode ON, you will lose your connection to the network.
